Patient Service Representative (OB-GYN)

This position works in our Oconomowoc Clinic 3 days a week and our Waukesha Clinic 1 day a week. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call hours. The schedule is Mondays (7am-4:30pm), Tuesdays (9am-6:30pm), Wednesdays (7am-5:30pm - Waukesha Clinic), Thursdays (OFF) and Fridays (8:30am-4pm).
 
Position Summary:?As a patient service representative, you are the face of our office, responsible for creating a positive first impression for our patients and visitors.
 
Key responsibilities include the following:

• Provide professional customer service to meet individual patient needs, with a caring and empathetic approach.
• Register patients for appointments by verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility and explanation of paperwork.
• Collect payments.
• Appointment scheduling and confirmation
• Answer and direct inbound phone calls.
• General clerical support

 
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare office or fast-paced, highly interactive customer service environment preferred.
• Computer skills required, Microsoft Office competent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EPIC software preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Professional and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
