Flag Retirement Ceremony at Shorehaven

Shorehaven to host Flag Retirement Ceremony The American Legion Edwin L. Jones, Post 91 Oconomowoc and the Shorehaven Campus will present An Honorable American Flag Retirement Ceremony Friday, June 14 at 1:30 p.m. The event welcomes all area veterans, the public, and local scouting groups to witness this ceremony. The ceremony will take place on the south parking lot at Shorehaven, in front of Forgotten Treasures Resale Shop at 1305 West Wisconsin Avenue. Faded or tattered U.S. flags to be honorably retired may be brought to the ceremony site by 1:15 pm. Post 91 will be selling new 2x3’, 3x5’, 4x6’ and 5x8’ flags and will be accepting donations for Veteran Honor Flights. The Western Lake Fire Department will showcase its new fire truck.
