Description

Adult (Age 16 & up)
Join Jim Draeger for a history of bars and breweries in Wisconsin. Beginning with inns and saloons, his book, Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin’s Historic Bars and Breweries, explores the rise of breweries, the effects of temperance and Prohibition, and attitudes about gender, ethnicity, and morality. It traces the development of the megabreweries, the dominance of the giants, and the emergence of microbreweries.

Registration is preferred at oconomowoclibrary.org/go/bottoms-up, but walk-ins are welcome.
